Chapter One
DADDY FINDS OUT
Lea had been spoiled all of her life by her dad Carl, and she knew she could get away with
just about anything where he was concerned.
Her mother had always been to busy with her step-sister Kathy, to pay much attention to
Lea. So in a lot of ways her mother and father each had their favorite daughter and would do
whatever it took to protect them.
Lea's dad had always been the kind of man who was in complete control of his emotions. He never showed anger unless he was
really mad about something.
So when he found out that his wife was cheating on him, other than letting his jealousy take control he filed for and got a divorce with full
custody of Lea being given to him and her mother having full custody of Kathy.
Carl and Lea had moved to another town and were doing very well. He had bought another house.
The first night in their new home, Lea went to her dad’s room and asked if they could talk about what had happened with her mother.
Carl had never been one to lie to Lea about anything and he wasn’t going to start now.
“What do you want to know?” Carl asked Lea as she sat down on the side of the bed.
“Well, why did mom do what she did? I mean you done everything you could. You gave us a really
nice place to live, made sure we didn’t want for anything. Hell you even brought your work home
sometimes just so we could all spend more time together.”
“I really can’t tell you why she decided to start seeing other men. She never told me why and
when ever I would start asking she would get really defensive and tell me I was just trying to start a
fight.”
Lea looked down at the floor feeling like she would never know why her mother had done what she
did. But it didn’t matter. Her and her dad were doing fine in their new lives and things were going
good for her dad’s business.
He had even set one of the extra rooms up to be his office and was working
more from home than at his office downtown.
As Lea got up to go back to her own room, Carl asked.
“Honey, is that all you wanted to know?”
