1. You must be an adult
Maliven is an adult fiction marketplace. By creating an account you confirm you are 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority where you live, if higher).
2. Everything here is fiction
All content on Maliven is fiction. It does not depict, describe, or represent real events or real persons, and must not be read as doing so. See our Content Policy for what may be published.
3. Purchases and refunds
All purchases are final, with one exception: a purchase may be refunded within 24 hours if you have read less than 30% of the book. Refunds return shards to your Maliven wallet. Details on the refunds page.
4. AI-assisted content
Maliven permits AI-assisted and AI-generated fiction. Authors must label their work’s AI involvement (human-written, AI-assisted, or AI-generated), and that label is displayed on every book page. By using the platform you acknowledge such content is present.
5. License you grant us
When you upload content you grant Maliven a non-exclusive license to display, format, excerpt, and distribute that content on this platform for the purpose of operating the marketplace. You keep all other rights, you can sell the same work anywhere else, and the license ends for content you remove.
6. What you may not do
You agree not to: redistribute or resell books purchased on Maliven; share your account credentials; or attempt to circumvent content access controls. You agree to publish only content you hold the rights to distribute. Violations of this section are behavioral violations and can lead to account strikes or termination — content itself is governed solely by the Content Policy.
7. Copyright and DMCA
Takedown requests should follow the process on our DMCA page and be sent to malivenbooks@proton.me.
8. Author terms
Authors are responsible for the content they publish. Maliven takes a platform fee on each sale: 30% at the base tier, reduced to 25% while the author has at least one live free title (i.e., authors earn 70% or 75% respectively). Payout terms are described during author signup and in your dashboard.
9. Privacy
How we handle your data is covered by the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the platform. Continued use after a change is acceptance. Questions: malivenbooks@proton.me.
