DMCA Takedown Policy

We protect fiction fiercely and copyright honestly. Both at once.

1. Where to send a notice

Email malivenbooks@proton.me with the subject line “DMCA Notice”.

2. What a valid notice must include

Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed (title, and where it was originally published).
The Maliven URL(s) of the allegedly infringing content.
Your name, email address, and a way to reach you.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for them.
Your physical or electronic signature.

Incomplete notices will get a reply asking for the missing pieces, not a takedown.

3. What happens next

Valid notices are reviewed by a human and acted on promptly — typically within 72 hours. If we take content down, the author is notified with a copy of the notice and told how to counter-notice.

4. Counter-notice (for authors)

If your work was taken down and you believe the notice was mistaken or misidentified your work, email the same address with: identification of the removed content and its former URL, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake or misidentification, your name and contact information, and your signature. We forward counter-notices to the original claimant; if they do not inform us of court action within 14 business days, we restore the content.

5. Repeat infringement

Uploading work you don’t hold rights to is a behavioral violation. Repeat infringers lose their accounts.
