FALL OF GOLDEN DRAGON NTR
Chapter 1: Always Discriminating
My name is Chen Xiaolong. I am eighteen years old. Many people may recognize my name, but my parents are well-known in China.
My father, Chen Tian, was among the first businessmen to venture into the market. At the young age of twenty-six he founded Chen Fang Group, a multinational corporation that is now a Fortune Global 500 company. Unfortunately he died young, leaving us when he was only thirty.
My mother, Fang Xueer, is only thirty-three now (they had my younger sister Chen Shuier and me when they were seventeen). In the three years since my father's death she has multiplied the company's reputation and revenue many times over, and she holds absolute control of the shares.
My mother has never remarried. She says she will stay with us for the rest of her life. That promise made my sister and me vow to be filial to her forever. Right now I am in my room, talking on the phone with my girlfriend, Tang Bing'er.
She is the daughter of Tang Ying'er, my mother's best friend and most capable assistant. Their family is also a single-parent household, so when her mother is busy with work Bing'er sometimes stays at our house with my younger sister Chen Shuier. We have been childhood sweethearts for years, and now we are officially boyfriend and girlfriend.
Even so, I can still tell that Bing'er has deep feelings for me.
"Bing'er, it's Saturday and you still have to go help at the student council. You're really working hard."
Damn the student council. If Bing'er weren't the vice president, I would never let her waste her time working with those people. By the way, "Bing'er" is a nickname only our family is allowed to use. Even though I can only call her that when we are alone, it still makes me happy.
"Hmm… it's okay… I still have Shuier to help… with her around I'm much more at ease."
I had forgotten that Shuier was also going to help Bing'er today. After all, she is the student council accountant and is in charge of the sports-meet expenses in a few days. It's a pity I know nothing about any of that. I'm just a rich kid.
"I'm sorry, Bing'er. There's nothing I can do to help. You've really worked hard. When you're finished I'll treat you to that five-star hotel. I'm sure you'll like it."
