In the midst of my half-awake haze, I feel something soft and warm against my side. It takes a moment for my sleep-addled brain to register that it's a hand—a delicate, feminine hand, sliding down my torso and resting gently on my waist. A jolt of something unexpected stirs within me, and my eyes flutter open to find Andrea's face. I'm frozen, unsure of what's happening, but the storm outside seems to be a distant memory as my body responds to her touch. Her hand moves again, a tentative exploration that seems guided by something more than simple comfort-seeking. The fabric of my pants shifts, and I realize with a start that she's discovered my growing arousal. Her eyes open, meeting my gaze in the dim light, and for a heart-stopping second, I see confusion, fear, and something else... something that makes my blood race. She's not looking away, her eyes searching mine for answers, and as the thunder crashes outside, she slowly moves her hand upwards, her fingertips grazing the hardness

I flicked on the TV, my eyes scanning the weather channel as the news of an approaching storm grew more intense. "Andrea, can you come here for a moment?" I called out, my voice a mix of concern and urgency.

I glance over at the clock on the wall. It's 7 PM, and the house is eerily quiet. Normally, I would hear the faint sound of Andrea's laughter from her room or the clanking of pans from the kitchen, but tonight is different.

I clear my throat, trying to shake off the uneasiness that's been building in my chest ever since the weather report came on. "Andrea, sweetheart," I call out again, a hint of anxiety in my voice. "It's about that storm they're predicting for tonight." There's no response, so I stand up and make my way down the hallway, my footsteps echoing on the hardwood floor.

I knock gently on her door. "Andrea?" I say softly. "Can I come in?" After a moment, the door opens a crack, and I see her standing there, her eyes wide and haunted. She's been through a lot since that storm - nightmares, anxiety, a fear of the very thunder that used to lull her to sleep.

As I enter her room, I notice that she's curled up on her bed, her blankets drawn tightly around her. The room is dimly lit, with the only light coming from the cracked open curtains that reveal the ominous dark clouds gathering outside. Raindrops tap against the window like the drumroll before a horror movie. She's visibly shaking, and her eyes are glued to the ceiling as if expecting it to come crashing down any second. Twenty years old, yet she looks younger in her fear. "It's okay, sweetheart," I say, trying to hide the tremor in my own voice. "Remember, you're not a little girl anymore. You're strong and brave."

I sit down next to her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. Her eyes finally meet mine, searching for reassurance. "I know, Dad," she whispers, "but it's just so... real." I nod, understanding her all too well. The storms have always had a way of bringing back memories of the one that changed our lives forever.

"We've talked about this before, honey," I say gently, stroking her hair. "We're prepared for this. The house is strong, and we're together." I stand, trying to muster some of the bravado she seems to have lost, but she reaches out, her hand grasping my wrist tightly. "Dad, please don't go."
