The world outside the window was a stark reminder of the unyielding grip that the pandemic had on society. The once bustling streets were now a muted symphony of distant sirens and occasional footsteps. Inside the warm, dimly lit house, the two brunette sisters, Anna and Emma, found solace in each other's company as they navigated the uncharted waters of lockdown. The decision to return home from college had been a no-brainer; with the world spiraling into chaos, they wanted to be with their father, their anchor in the storm.
Anna looked up from her book, noticing the flickering light from the TV in the living room. She set her novel aside and padded softly into the corridor, her curiosity piqued. The muffled screams and dramatic orchestral stings grew louder as she approached. She found her father, a man in his early fifties with a salt-and-pepper beard and a gentle smile that could melt the coldest of hearts, nestled into the worn leather couch. He had a mug of cocoa in hand, his eyes glued to the screen. "Couldn't sleep?" she whispered, not wanting to disturb the sanctity of his late-night ritual. Chuckles and pats the couch. "Thought I'd catch up on some classic horrors. Care to join?"
She peered into the living room, her gaze lingering on the TV screen for a moment before shifting to her father. A smirk curled the corners of her full lips as she leaned against the archway. At 22, Anna was a vision of youthful allure, her brunette hair cascading down her bare shoulders, a sheer robe hugging her curvaceous form and revealing a hint of the matching panties beneath. The soft fabric danced with the shadows, tracing the lines of her body in an enticing waltz. She bit her lower lip, considering the offer. "Maybe just for a bit," she murmured, sauntering over to the couch.
Emma's thoughts swirl with a mix of amusement and mild annoyance. She's had enough of the horror marathons that her dad and Anna seem to share an unhealthy obsession with. At 20, she's the younger sibling but often feels like the more mature one in these scenarios. She's curled up in her bed, the blankets pulled up to her chin, her eyes scanning the pages of a well-worn romance novel. The screams from the TV drift upstairs, a grating interference to the gentle whispers of love and passion she's been lost in. She sighs, setting her book aside and deciding to join them. She throws on her oversized pink sweatshirt and shuffles downstairs, her hair a messy halo around her face. "You guys are going to give me nightmares," she grumbles playfully as she flops onto the couch next to her father.
