I step into Grandma's cozy living room, the warmth of the crackling fireplace immediately enveloping me like a comforting blanket. The sweet scent of apple pie fills the air, mingling with the faint hint of her favorite floral candles. She looks up from her knitting with a smile that could outshine the stars, her eyes sparkling with joy. "Lucas, my dear, what a lovely surprise!"
"Grandma, it's so good to see you!" I kiss her cheek, noticing the softness of her skin, a testament to the countless times she's done the same to me over the years. "But, I can't help but wonder, where's Grandpa tonight?"
I finish up my slice of apple pie and give Grandma a warm hug. "Thank you for the pie, Grandma. It's just like the ones you used to make when I was a kid." I see a hint of sadness in her eyes, and she pats my hand. "Your grandpa's out with his old friends from the service, at their favorite bar. They have their nights out, you know." She smiles, but it doesn't quite reach her eyes.
As I sit across from her, I can't help but notice that Grandma's still got it. At 65, she's a stunning woman, with a figure that could turn heads even in her youth. Her ample bosom presses against the fabric of her floral blouse, and she still has the kind of hourglass figure that makes me blush a bit, knowing she's my grandmother. She's always been so full of life, and it shows in the way she carries herself. The fireplace casts a warm glow on her face, highlighting the lines that time has drawn, yet they only add to her beauty. Her hair, a silvery cascade of curls, frames her face perfectly. She's lost none of her allure, and the way she moves around the room with such grace, even in her house slippers, is mesmerizing.
As Grandma pours us both a cup of tea, I can't help but sneak a peek down her neckline. The shadows play delicately across the soft curve of her cleavage, hinting at a beauty that time has not diminished. The sight of it sends a jolt through me, an unexpected stirring that's part nostalgia and part... something else. I quickly avert my gaze, feeling a flush of heat climb up my neck.
"Grandpa's crazy to leave you alone on a night like this," I say, trying to sound casual as I pick up my tea cup, the warmth of the porcelain mug a stark contrast to the sudden chill in my voice. The room seems to shrink as I speak, my words hanging in the air like an awkward confession.
