Bianca stepped out of the car and into the blistering heat of a brand new day. She adjusted her oversized sunglasses, the frames a stark contrast to her pale skin. Her blonde hair cascaded down her back, each strand shimmering with the promise of a fresh start. The schoolyard was a blur of unfamiliar faces and a cacophony of laughter and chatter, but she remained unfazed. She had moved schools more times than she could count, but something about this place felt different. The buildings stood tall and proud, with gleaming windows that seemed to wink in the midday sun.
