My Sister Left to Grampa’s

Sally-Anne woke me in a panic.

“Help me out, Lulu, Pa’s making me go to Grampa’s to work at his junkyard and live there, too, and said I need to take dresses and tight tops. I got about two minutes. I need some of yours.”

My older sister, who’d always looked out for me, was leaving? What was going on? I jumped out of bed to help her out, stuffing clothes in her duffle bag. Sally-Anne was built like me, full all over, with big boobs, but she’d made the decision when she started filling out to cover up her figure with loose clothes. It didn’t prevent the bosses at each of her jobs from losing their minds over her body, and trying to have a feel for themselves. She’d just quit the last one yesterday when her boss got handsy.

I wore clothes that showed off my figure. Not because I wanted to. I hated how it made men look at me, and try to have a feel, like they did to my sister. I stayed home for the most part to avoid all that, but Pa insisted I wear clothes that didn’t hide what God gave me. I never told Sally-Anne that was why I dressed to show my charms. I knew she’d be mad on my behalf.

I would have liked to have more than a couple of minutes with her to find out what was going on, but she was whisked out the door as soon as she went downstairs. I ran out the front door to try to say goodbye, but the car was already leaving, so I sat on the front step, my heart pounding and heavy. Sally-Anne and I were close, and now I was left with Pa, my brother Luke, and Ma. And none of them stuck up for me like my sister did.

Ma came out, drying her hands on a dishtowel. She was built like us too, full and lush, but her heart wasn’t as full as her bosom.

“Don’t you cry for Sally-Anne. She’s going to live with Grampa. He’ll take care of her and give her a job and place to live. It’s what she needs. She’s been too full of herself, thinking she’s better than all the men who just wanted to have a little feel. Don’t make the same mistake she did, Lulu. You were given a plush body for one reason, and that’s to give men something to hold onto and sink in. That don’t mean you should be a slut. Just means if a man that has some rights to you wants to have a touch, you let them. I seen how your Pa has a feel of you now and then. You make sure and let him. Your brother, too. They’re your family, and if they want to enjoy your body, that’s their right. Anyhow, gives me a break from your Pa wanting to put his hands on me all the time. I’m gettin’ too old for that, and he’s not slowing down none. That man is just as randy as ever, and it was always a lot.”

She threw the dishtowel over her shoulder and gave me a thoughtful look.

“I think your brother’s the same. I don’t like how he’s spreading himself around all those girls at school. Better if he kept that at home. You keep that boy happy and occupied at home, and he won’t go running out on us to shack up with some floozy.”

I knew that Ma never gave this kind of advice to Sally-Anne. She would have told Ma off. Sally-Anne didn’t believe men should touch us without our consent. Well, she was naïve. Girls like us, with our kinds of curvy bodies, we attracted men like flies, and Ma was right. When a man had a right to you, he should be able to touch you. That’s what both Ma and Pa had been telling me since I started filling out last year, when I turned 19.

I didn’t like telling Sally-Anne what they taught me. She was so protective, and kept Pa from grabbing at me when she ...
