The Magical Girls of Tsukishiro High

2,597 words·13 min read

All characters are 18+ in this story. This is an alternate world where high school lasts four years, with students being 18 in their final year.

Chapter 1

Sakura and I raced through the city, the sound of our heels reverberating off the buildings. We had some protection from being seen when the monsters were near, but if we were going in the wrong direction…

My micro skirt fluttered high as we ran. High enough that my thong between my ass cheeks might be visible to anyone around. There was a time when I felt embarrassed in it, but not anymore.

Skin was power. The power of the universe was tied to the beauty of a woman’s body. Our mana was tied to these outfits. The small white and gold corset top I worse pressed tightly into my breasts. On the back two small wings protruded. The corset cupped my breasts and ended just before my naval. Elegant and showed off plenty of skin.

We skidded to a stop in a stone plaza. Dark skyscrapers rose on all sides around us.

‘Where is it?’

Sakura took a deep breath as she looked around, trying to sense it out. Her black hair fell around her cute face, the rest tied back in a small ponytail. Her magical girl outfit matched her look. Her sleeveless, white top ended just above her naval, with a sailor collar around the neck. She wore a blue, pleated micro skirt, and cute heels with little bows on them. Her exposed skin radiated with mana. I could feel how strong she was when I stood close to her.

After a moment she closed her eyes, coalescing her mana into her hand where a thin sword appeared. ‘It’s over there,’ she whispered to me.

We tiptoed closer. I manifested my harp in my hands, ready for what could appear. Ushiromiya-sensei was too far away. We couldn’t call to her now.

Sakura held up a hand to me as she continued to tiptoe forward. The shimmer in the air was more obvious to me now. Sakura was far more experienced at this than me.

She let out a cry and stabbed her sword into the shimmer. In an instant we were thrown back. I slammed into the hard concrete, feeling the wind knocked out of me. As I sat up, I saw them.

Dark shapes spilling out like fetid lumps. Once they hit the concrete they dragged themselves along with speed.

I gasped and jumped up, pulling my harp to me.

‘Allegro!’ I spoke to the harp as I strummed the string. The monster crawling toward me vibrated, its whole body rippling. I flicked the string once more and it exploded into goop.

But there were more coming. I strummed the harp again, directing my focus at each advancing monster. For each one I killed, there seemed to be more around it. They weren’t advancing at me anymore, they were spreading out to encircle me. I tried to steady my breathing and concentrate, but movement in my peripheries broke my focus.

‘Reina, over here!’

Sakura slowly backed up toward me, her focus still on the monsters she was slashing at. I didn’t move as carefully. I ran as fast as I could toward her.

A monster struck me in the side. It had launched itself at me. Its wriggling tentacles searching over my body. I screamed and smacked it with my harp.

‘Reina!’

I managed to pull myself back onto my feet. Trill, trill, trill! I thought as I raised my hand to the harp strings. My heart was racing.

A tentacle wrapped around my wrist, pulling it down. The harp clattered onto the ground. I pulled my arm away, but the monster clung on. Another snapped around my other wrist.

My eyes darted around, from the harp, to the monsters holding me on either side, to Sakura. She saw what was happening and abandoned all composure to race to me. My heart dropped as I saw a monster launch itself at her. It hit her squarely in the back and knocked her forward. The monster landed on top of her, its tentacles quickly finding her wrists.

I pulled against the tentacles that held me in vain. A tearing sound came from where Sakura lay. A patch of her white cotton panties was spat to the side by the monster. It fluttered to the ground. The little blue bow on the front catching the breeze.

Sakura’s eyes went wide as she tried to wriggle out. She screamed as the monster entered her from behind. Tears came to my eyes as I pulled hard against the tentacles. I felt one come up behind me, its tentacles caressing the hem of my micro skirt.

Sakura’s cries soon took on the tempo of the monster’s thrusts. An occasional moan broke through her yelling, growing stronger each time it came to the surface.

I pulled hard on my arm. The tentacles were wrapped around tight. I pressed my back into the monster to my side and kicked my feet up onto the other one. I pressed with all the might in my thighs, forcing it away until the tentacles ripped off.

I shook the loose tentacles from my arm and manifested my harp. Holding the wooden side, I aimed it at the other monster and flicked the string with my thumb, like an elaborate rubber band gun.

The monster rippled, the tentacles melting before reforming, but not quick enough to grab me again.

Now with both hands, I strummed my harp at the monsters around me until they were all piles of goop on the floor.

‘Ahh~!’

Sakura’s moans reminded me of the urgency. I spun back to her and fired off a strong note. A chunk of the monster blew away and it collapsed forward over Sakura.

She tried wriggling out from underneath it. No, it looked like she was still trying to thrust her hips back on it. No, no. Surely she was just wriggling.

I kicked the lump of the monster off her and grimaced as I saw the thick wet appendage pull out from between her round ass cheeks. It was dripping wet, glistening in the moonlight. Sakura remained in that position, her knees planted wide and her skirt turned up over her arched back. I could see all of her bare ass, even the pubic hair that stuck out between her legs that was wet from either one of their juices.

She kept her head down, still panting and shuddering. She must be traumatised.

I knelt down beside her. ‘Sakura! It’s ok! They’re gone.’ I placed my hand on her shoulder, feeling her heavy breaths.

She eventually sat up, looking at me with wide eyes. She gave a nod with vacant eyes. I helped her stand, her legs still shaking. I couldn’t help but realize how close I had been to being raped by those monsters too. That one’s tentacles had slithered so close to my own pussy. ‘Ushiromiya-sensei is coming, ok?’

We sat down on the concrete steps. She winced at the cold touch against her bare ass. The fragment of her torn panties disintegrated into violet coloured dust, blowing away in the wind.

‘They’re gone,’ I said, letting my magical girl outfit glow violet and fade away. It too carried off in the wind as dust, leaving my ruffled blouse and skinny jeans behind. What I had been wearing out in the city before we heard of the disturbance.

Sakura followed my lead, her outfit turning back into her t-shirt and ankle-length skirt. We had been shopping. The cool autumn air gave me a chill. I hadn’t felt it before. Despite being half naked, our mana was like a coating over our skin. It was warm. I likened it to sitting in front of a fire in winter.

The hurried clacks of stilettos carried from behind us. I turned to see Ushiromiya-sensei approaching. Her long raven hair was held up with a gemmed ornament. She wore a high waisted black leotard, that ran like a thong up her backside. It scooped low on her front, revealing much of her large breasts that bounced inside.

‘Are you two alright?’ she asked.

I looked at Sakura who sat silently.

‘They got Sakura.’

Ushiromiya-sensei sighed, squatting down beside her. She placed a hand over Sakura’s.

‘I’m so sorry I wasn’t here, Maekawa.’ Her tone was kind despite the clinical way she addressed it. ‘It’s a heavy burden, but one you must leant to carry. Fight with even more strength next time.’

She didn’t offer platitudes or say it would be okay. In this world, that was a reality we all had to deal with. She had told us before of the times the monsters had raped her. After twenty years as a magical girl, it had happened many times. We had accepted that it might happen to us too.

She had first started when she was in high school like us. She became a teacher so she could guide the next generation of magical girls.

She helped Sakura to her feet. ‘Go home and rest, both of you. I’ll round up the others. I think we’re done here for tonight.’ I held Sakura’s hand as we hobbled our way out of the plaza. ‘You both did well,’ Ushiromiya-sensei called after us.

The train ride home was quiet. I glanced at sakura who was staring out the window at the passing cityscape. I wasn’t sure what was going through her mind.

We bore the pain so that the city would be safe. Hundreds of thousands of people were peacefully enjoying their evening in those buildings due to what we had done. I put my hand over hers.

She had been my best friend for the past four years. The one who brought me into the world of magical girls. The one who had given me a chance to fight for the world.

To protect those who mattered to me.

Chapter 2

It had been four years ago.

I sat under the tree, letting the cool midday air caress my skin. I inspected my nails. The gel on one was scratched. I chastised myself for being so careless. The light pink gel colour contrasted well against my tanned skin. My dyed blonde hair fell over my shoulders like a golden river.

The first day of school had been a whirlwind. I had been surrounded by friends back in middle school, but none of them came to this school. The class had been stressing me out. Too many loud personalities wanting to be the next thing. So I came out here to unwind.

As I sat with my head resting against the tree, I spotted that girl who had brought papers to our classroom. She was with a teacher. I watched them as they walked across the yard to the other building.

Something didn’t look right. It should have just been a typical picture of some nerd sucking up to a teacher, wanting the next task to do for good girl points, but somehow it didn’t look like that.

I stood up, dusting bits of grass from my leg warmers and fixing my rolled up skirt. I slung my bag over my shoulder. A little moon-themed cat plushie rattled on the zipper. A trophy from a better time, out with my old friends at the arcade.

I followed the girl and the teacher as they stepped inside the building. I followed along the quiet hallways, up stairs, making sure I kept far enough back. I picked up some words whispered between them, but couldn’t glean what they were talking about. All I knew was that it wasn’t school work.

They stopped for a moment and I dashed behind a corner. They mentioned something about sensing. What was the teacher a nerd too?! I rolled my eyes. I was barking up the wrong tree. I had worked myself up into an excitement about some mystery, or even some secret I could use as leverage with this girl if need be. But it was just some game they must be playing.

I waited for them to leave and then stepped out from my hiding spot. I walked over to the window and leaned against it, staring out.

This school was so boring.

As I stood there, watching some students down below, I heard more students approaching down the hall.

‘-the time is right. With the full moon…’

I lifted my head, peering out from beneath my blonde fringe. Three students were walking toward me. One held up a hand to the other as the approached.

‘What are you doing here?’ she asked.

I raised an eyebrow. ‘Seriously?’

‘You shouldn’t come to this building during break,’ she said with a high and mighty air. One of the others added ‘It’s off limits without sensei’s permission.’

I shrugged and walked around them. ‘Whatever.’ More dorks for whatever game that teacher was playing.

I spent the rest of lunch clicking through my flip phone. Sending messages to my old friends, asking what they were doing, if they wanted to hang out after school.

All so boring.

I wouldn’t see the nerdy girl again until the next day.

As I walked to class, a teacher stopped me. One of the gross older guys who speak to you like you’re an idiot.

‘Fix your skirt. Don’t you know that’s unacceptable for school?’

I rolled my eyes.

‘Don’t take that tone with me or your time here will be very short,’ His face was growing red.

Suddenly, the nerdy girl was at my side. She grabbed my wrist.

‘I’ll take her to the office, sensei.’

I stared daggers at her. Who the hell did she think she was?! Teacher’s pet!

She pulled me with surprising strength. Both the teacher and me spluttered as I was pulled away.

‘Ew, what do you think you’re doing?’ I wrestled my arm away from her.

To my surprise, she rounded on me with an intense gaze in her eyes. Even though she was shorter than me, I felt taken aback.

‘Why were you following us yesterday?’

‘huh?’

‘You followed us into the west building. Why?’

‘I…I didn’t. I was-‘

‘That building is off limits during lunch breaks without a teacher with you,’ she said.

‘Yeah, I know,’ I said, my annoyance taking back over. ‘Your little friends already told me.’

She raised an eyebrow. ‘What friends?’

‘The ones who went to join you. I don’t know who they are. The two girls and a boy.’

She stared at me for a while before saying. ‘So you weren’t with them?’

‘What do you mean?! They’re your friends. I don’t know any of you.’

Her hand was wrapped around my wrist once again.

‘Hey!’ I tried to pull away but her grip seemed even stronger than last time.

She pulled me down the hallway until we stood in front of a classroom. She knocked and then opened the door. The teacher she was walking with yesterday stood inside. It seemed we caught her midway through preparing some papers for the upcoming class.

‘Maekawa. What’s this all about? Who’s this?’

She stepped around the desk and strode quickly over to me as if I was someone who needed to be restrained.

‘The girl who was following us.’

Something dawned on the teacher’s face and she moved to grab me. My heart raced as I suddenly felt like I was in danger, but the girl, Maekawa, spoke.

‘She’s not who we’re looking for. She might ...
