VIKTOR LANG - THE INTIMATE CONFESSIONS
Meet Silas Thorne
An interview with the author, in their own words.
Tell readers a little about yourself as a writer.
I’m Silas Thorne. I write the stories I used to look for and couldn’t find. Older men, bigger bodies, extreme sex without apology. Eventually I got tired of searching and started writing it myself. I don’t do it from a distance. I write it because I recognise it.
What do you write, and what draws you to it?
I write encounters between men where the sex can be filthy, intense, or slower, but always explicit. Sometimes there’s domination, sometimes there isn’t. Sometimes it’s just the smell of an older body, the come, the musk, the want to be used or to use. What draws me is that it’s what turns me on too. I’m not inventing it for other people. I write it because I’m looking for the same thing.
Which of your books should a new reader start with, and why?
Any of the longer stories set in The Dark Den. They’re the ones that show most clearly how I write: close in, unsmoothed, with real men and real bodies. If you want to test it, look for the ones that start with someone arriving at a private place. You’ll know quickly whether it’s for you.
What are you working on next?
More of the same thing I still want to read. Some of the stories are just extreme sex with no roles. Others carry more weight around power or humiliation. I’m also stretching a few of them out so I can stay inside the same night for longer. I don’t have a fixed plan. I write when I feel like reading it.
Anything else you would like readers to know?
I’m not describing other people’s fantasies. This comes from someone who looks for these things as well. If what gets you off is extreme sex with mature men, without filters, you’ll probably recognise yourself in it. And if you don’t, that’s fine. I’m not trying to convince anyone.
When did you start writing, and what got you started?
I started when I got tired of not finding what I wanted. It was either too soft, or it avoided the filthier parts, or it felt distant. I preferred to write it myself rather than keep looking. At first it was only for me. Later I left it available in case there were others looking for the sam
Which authors or books have influenced you most?
Not many. What has marked me most isn’t published. It’s the way certain fantasies get told when no one has to clean them up. That’s what I try to keep: closeness and detail, without softening anything.
What does your writing process look like?
I start with something specific that turns me on — a body, a smell, a situation — and I go inside it. I think about what it would feel like on the skin, what it would smell like, what the other man would say or not say. I don’t outline much. If the scene still interests me while I’m writing it, I keep going. If it doesn’t, I stop. The revisions are about making it feel more real, not more presentable.
What do you enjoy most about writing for adult readers?
That I don’t have to explain or soften anything. I can go straight to what happens. I also like knowing that whoever’s reading has probably already imagined something similar and doesn’t need it justified.
Where do you get your ideas?
From what turns me on and from what I see repeating in other men looking for the same thing. A certain kind of body, a smell, a way of touching, a situation that mixes the extreme with something closer. If it feels real to me, I write it.
Where can people read more of your work for free?
I post regularly on the free Telegram channel for The Dark Den. Short scenes, small pieces of longer stories, and images. New things go up most weeks. It’s the easiest place to see the tone without committing to anything. The link is https://t.me/+bz4r3e1NvJQ5NGQ0
Do you only write full-length stories?
No. A lot of what I put out first are shorter pieces or fragments. Some of them stay short. Others grow into longer stories later. The Telegram channel is where most of those smaller pieces appear before anything else.
Is there a place to see what the writing actually feels like before buying anything?
Yes. The free Telegram channel has ongoing posts — bits of stories, scenes, and images — that show the style more clearly than a description can. I update it most weeks. Link: https://t.me/+bz4r3e1NvJQ5NGQ0
